Privacy Policy
The short version: your data stays on your device. Pin Analytics Pro has no user accounts, no analytics trackers, and no servers that receive your browsing data. We cannot see which pins you view or analyze.
1. What the extension does
Pin Analytics Pro displays publicly available statistics for Pinterest pins (saves, repins, comments, reactions, shares) while you browse pinterest.com, and stores those statistics in a local dashboard so you can search, sort and analyze them.
2. Data stored locally on your device
When you analyze pins, the extension saves the following only in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Pin statistics and metadata (title, board, pinner name, engagement counts, image URL, dates)
- Your bookmarks and private notes on pins
- Your extension settings (toggles, theme, dismissed banners)
- Your license key and its validation status, if you purchased Premium
This data never leaves your device except as described in sections 3 and 4. Uninstalling the extension deletes it. You can also erase it anytime with the dashboard's "Clear All" button.
3. Requests to Pinterest
To read pin statistics, the extension requests pin details from Pinterest's website using your existing Pinterest session — the same way your browser already communicates with Pinterest while you browse. These requests go directly from your browser to Pinterest. Aperox never receives, proxies or logs them.
4. License verification (Premium only)
If you activate a Premium license, the extension sends only your license key to Gumroad, Inc. (our payment and licensing provider) to verify the purchase, at activation and periodically thereafter. Gumroad's handling of purchase data is governed by the Gumroad Privacy Policy. Payments are processed entirely by Gumroad — we never see your card details.
5. What we do NOT do
- We do not collect, transmit or sell your browsing history or analyzed pin data
- We do not use analytics, telemetry or advertising trackers in the extension
- We do not require an account or collect personal information to use the free version
- We do not share any data with third parties, other than the license-key check described above
6. The aperox.com website
Our website is a static site. It may use privacy-respecting, aggregate page-view counting by our hosting provider. Purchases happen on gumroad.com under Gumroad's policies. If you email support@aperox.com, we use your email solely to respond.

8. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them (we do not collect data from anyone).
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and significant changes noted in the extension's update notes.
